We welcome submissions from anywhere. Please look at the magazine before sending us work. We like translations too, but do make sure you have the original poet's permission if the poem is still within copyright.
Poems must be unpublished and not offered for publication elsewhere.
Send up to six poems, together with
* a covering letter including your email and website address if you have one
* a brief biographical note (no more than 30 words)
* a reply envelope with sufficient postage to cover the return of your manuscript. If you are sending from abroad and want us to return your manuscript, you must include sufficient IRCs. (A small submission from US or Canada would require at least three.) You may prefer us to reply by email.
We are only human, so please make sure that your contact details are included on every poem.
We are also interested in short articles and reviews - please contact us first.
Send to:
SEAM, PO BOX 1051, Sawston, CAMBRIDGE CB22 3WT, UK
We will not consider unsolicited submissions by email.
Payment
In return for publishing your work, we will send you a free copy of the magazine. We regret that at present Seam cannot afford to pay contributors. We are a small magazine subsidised only by the editors themselves. We believe that poets deserve to be paid and are working to this end by increasing sales. (Editors will have to wait for their reward in heaven or the other place.)
You can help by taking out a subscription to enlarge our readership base, and encouraging others to do the same.
